Between this and finally working with Tarantino and (theoretically) Lynch, it's great to see her making her way back into the limelight.

It better.

A friend of mine, when she was 10 years old, watched Boys Don't Cry with her mother.

I envy that you get to see it soon. It doesn't come out on this side of the Atlantic until March. :(

I'm sorry to hear about the poor grades and the jackass teacher. That royally sucks.

You should! I know you are probably balls to the wall busy, what with work and fatherhood, but your company is sincerely missed.

Thanks for the link! I love having new things to read.

While far from perfect, the dancing was exquisite and the ballet performances in the finale were gorgeous to watch.

You got to see a special screening?! How I envy you!

I hope you enjoy it. I know superheroes aren't really your cup of tea, but it's so well-written and thoughtful, there is a lot to enjoy. It works splendidly as a thriller, an epic, and a collection of character studies.

I need to see The Innocents in its entirety, but Deborah Kerr should have received an Oscar nomination for her performance. But, knowing how the Academy feels about horror…

Aren't you in the UK? How did you see it?

You're here! Glad to see you around. Hope your Christmas was a good one.

One thing I loved about the art direction of Carol was how Haynes seemed more interested in capturing what the 50s looked like more than just doing another Douglas Sirk homage. Not to say there isn't some stylistic exaggeration in Carol, but certainly not to the same effect as Far From Heaven.

I'm so sorry to hear that dude was a prick. I hope you feel better soon.

I heard that when she was auditioning for the role, JJL let out a blood-curdling scream (she had to act like she had been shot) that apparently scared Tarantino.

It's Lord Fauntleroy's birthday?

I'll never get it either. It's one of the most egregious Oscar mistakes I've seen (top three, easy).

She had small cameo in his series of shorts called Rabbits (she was in a giant bunny outfit) and part of it was recycled in Inland Empire.

I cannot wait for January 8. I'm thrilled yet happily unsurprised to hear she's so great.
