December 7th is also my birthday and one year my grandma sent me a postcard that had a black and white picture of boats on fire in Pearl Harbor and on the other side she wrote Happy Birthday. I was like 13.

You know what I remember of post-9/11?
9/11 sucked and the aftermath was horrible and I can’t understand how anyone has positive feelings about that time. Like that was my senior year of high school, so even when I have positive associations with that time, all of that shit was in the background.
