I live in deep south Texas (about 30 min north of the border) and you see frequent SNAP misuse in this area. I have family members on it, and it’s very common for SNAP recipients to “sell” their benefits on a 1-2 ratio (you give them $50 cash to use $100 of their benefits.) Illegal as hell but people still do it.
