It’s weird that a person is allowed to “shoot first and ask questions later” whenever they feel slightly threatened and must “stand their ground”, but if she grabbed one person in the mob first (if that happened), that gives the mob the right to attack. Hell, she should be able to knock every single one of them out…

Maybe so, but they are the ones who accosted her first, and she had reason to fear for her and her partner’s safety. If a group of white supremacists want to “see me outside” I’m swinging first, preferably with a blade.

I guess that’s more out of deference to you, rather than your Mom. My Aunt didn’t speak to my Grandmother for an entire year. My Mother and Uncles had to carry the slack for her lashing out because they day ended in “y”. Your sister really loves you.

If you were a child of a physically or sexually abusive parent, no one would be telling you to basically get over it. When you engage in an action that you know will hurt your child, that child has a right to steer clear of you for some time or forever depending on the severity of the action.
