The rest of the world is looking on in disbelief at our nation of proud flag-humpers. This forced-patriotism frenzy must look pretty bizarre to people outside our borders.

In one breath he admits that the flag gives us the right to protest. In the next breath, he tells us that’s why protesting disrespects the flag.

“I served in the U.S. Marine along side men of different colors and back grounds. My Marine drill instructors told us there was no black or white marine just marine Corp green and we would all fight for our country together. As a Christian We often times have different opinions on scripture but the one common thread

She was such a sweet person to talk to..prob one of my favorite interviews yet.

I saw this posted elsewhere. And I knew it was your writing before I scrolled back up to the byline. What a kind profile, Yesha. You treated Jamiee’s story with a lot of dignity and respect. Thank you.

I become more amazed by the day at the lengths that some white people will go avoid reality. Pretending that veterans have anything to do with the protest, no matter how many vets publicly state “WTF?” is top shelf insanity (but completely sane like the shooter just lying or faking).

I stopped reading at “perceived oppression” oh what a lucky, sheltered life he lives when as a black man he can say something as profoundly unaware as that.

“Othering” makes my whole ass itch.

>>>”I cant stand Black people that make it to certain levels in society and then automatically think that the issues of being Black are long gone. Dont forget who you are and where you came from.”

He can’t wear that uniform and badge all the time, and one of these days his cop brethren will see him the same way they see us.

Just wait for him to get his ass shot off by a white cop next time he goes plainclothes. Maye then he will grab a clue, unless he goes full Uncle Ruckus.

“Listen, what does the American flag have to do with your perceived oppression?”

It’s not like she was a small Season 1 character only, either. To put it another way she was on the show for 40% of the entire run of the show, 50% if you don’t include the last season because... that last season was not great. They put Waldo Faldo on the cover and he was 1) not even part of the family and 2) on for
