Agreed. The “don’t speak ill of the dead” crowd forget that Ailes was an objectively terrible human being with no apparent redeeming values.

Agreed. Whenever you get into “degrees of Hitler”, there is no way we should be shedding a tear, or pretending to be respectful. He was a horrible human being, who made the world much much worse for having been in it. I may not be throwing a party, but curses and epitaths is all he’s getting from me.

To you, but to millions of poor brown people in the US or Iraqis whose lives have been ruined by the particular brand of conservatism Ailes was singularly responsible for promoting and legitimating, his life’s work was every bit as directly evil and impactful as someone like Hitler.
That’s why I’ve been saying Ailes and his ilk are fucking traitors. They’ve intentionally sowed dissent and flat out contention between Americans for the sake of ratings. I doubt they even believe half the bullshit they’ve flung against the wall.
You don’t want Trump to resign. Every day he’s in office is more damage to the republican party and another day nothing on their agenda is getting done.

No. We HAVE to wait for Republicans in congress to feel a serious threat to their reelection chances. And that’s not going to happen until their constituents are freed from the the Fox News Matrix reality that they don’t even know that they’re stuck in.
