Historically, humanity seems to have a very short attention span. It seems to only take about two generations for some hard lesson to be completely forgotten and then there’s some horrible reminder. 

For me, as a father, this is about more than just abortion.  This is about women’s rights period.  I think the debate has been framed wrong by the majority of pundits, its not pro-choice vs. anti-abortion.  Its about extremism’s heavy hammer coming down on women’s freedom and their individual rights.

Of course there was a believability gap. Democrats assumed they’d never have to risk the political blowback from seeming too pro-abortion by passing legislation on the back of Roe, and Republicans thought they were scoring points with the hard-line pro-life crowd by passing springing bans that would never be enacted.

Is it too much to hope that the average American is tired of having leopards eat their faces?
