There was a thing with acrylamide in fries, same as the coffee issue that Allison posted about. And holy crap, apparently that was near 20 years ago. Now I feel old, but the poutine hasn’t killed me yet.

I had no idea people were still talking about acrylamide. Probably about a decade ago I had a ‘reporter’ contact me to use a photo I’d taken of some poutine I made to use in her article about the dangers of french fries. I don’t recall being terribly polite with my rejection.
