Except the part about structures, vehicles and people? That there bridge is a structure holding up several vehicles with people in them!
How? I have cars with USB input and cars with tape input. tape-USB would be useful so I can listen to tapes in my non-tape cars
I remember that stereo from my ‘78 regal! I bet those tuning preset buttons are nowhere near as rewarding to press though.
I’m guessing if they’re bagged peaches, they’re probably just starting to ripen now!
Was disappointed when I moved out to the country and I’m too far north for peaches.
Yeah, I know. I think they let you parachute off it too. It is a pretty cool place though.
YOU can. Screw that! Apparently you can also walk the catwalk underneath. I’m happy to drive to the bottom on the switchback road and look back up.
Correct!
Bagged peaches? More like bag of bruised peaches.
I can’t argue that buying a safer car adds to safety but the cost/benefit doesn’t work for my personal situation where I’m likely to see less than a dozen cars on a drive, and the most likely thing I’d hit by accident would be a deer.
I’ve looked into it and some people run 650b with 26" wheels without too much issue. My frame is probably pretty quick handling compared to a newer bike anyhow so could use the slacker steering angle. BUT who knows if I’ll like it as much once I change that. I suppose I could find a cheap rigid 650 fork and try it out…
It’s easier if you live in a rural area, you just wave to all the locals and they wave back.
Was going to say that. Who ever heard of this new fangled “Ford” truck?
Sorry, I think I didn’t make my point trying to be cute: The driver is responsible for 99% of the safety in the car, regardless of whatever passive safety the car offers after the driver screws up. (or the much less likely chance that another driver hits you) All those fancy gizmos cost a lot and don’t do anything as…
I’ve been doing that here in Canada too with good success.
Well, I thought it was a bike I could keep forever but now I can’t find good parts to feed it!
Everyone has different risk tolerance and drives in different conditions. 99% of safety is the squishy part behind the steering wheel, so for a lot of people these cars are reasonable proposition.
They could just cruise around parking lots and look for another Tesla. Park the cars next to each other and make sure they get along OK, then it’s time for the next step.
