waste is waste! It adds up over the years I’m sure

We do actually, but when it’s 5 bites of food it’s kind of annoying.

I’m a nice guy!

I didn’t get the impression they were actually driving the car when the hurricane hit. Were they?

IMO for the GM fullsizers it’s go big (Suburban) or go home.

There’s an ‘03 tahoe I’ve been noticing in a dealer on my way to work. I expected they wouldn’t be as good offroad but I’ve already got a 4runner and I live far enough out I wouldn’t even need to plate/insure it to keep using it. The other would basically be for hauling the family and gear on adventures.

I have a ‘97 elocker 5spd and incidentally have had my eye on the big chevys as a replacement too. I still like the 4runner but it’s starting to get a few too many speed holes for my taste and will likely end up as an offroad toy.

Holy crap. You’re the first person I ‘know’ to have had it.

Here’s one that looks OK in ashville:

Came here to post that. The weirdo vans are both super cool but the steering wheels is on the wrong side and those fancy windows are going to make hauling the canoe a pain in the ass.

Ti is what I ride now. My mountain bike is a Lynskey built Litespeed so If I were to go new I’d probably stick with him because I love it. Apparently a full suspension lynskey is $7100 speced out how I’d want it so that’s not going to be happening any time soon!

Definitely fun when they start on the real trails! I don’t think it will be long before they are leaving me behind...

Should have asked him if he had a raptor before you left.

I left a couple packages of chicken wings in the fridge for 5 days or so a while back and unfortunately that was too long. I was disappointed, but the cat was pretty thrilled about it though!

You got covid? Smell is an important sense for cooking for sure! I think a lot of people don’t consider that.

I’ve only ridden carbon road bikes and thought they felt dead underneath me. I don’t think I’d worry about breaking it from riding it, but I would be worried about breaking it from crashing it. Imagine if it broke your fall onto a rock. Would you be confident on the next downhill that’s its not going to fail

A giant iguana sounds dangerous

What do you mean clutched drivetrain? I kinda stopped paying attention when we got to 10sp/electronic shifting so I have no experience beyond cable actuated 9/10 speed. What happens if you run out of batteries on the electronic stuff, does it just stay in whatever gear you were on or does it drop to the smallest cog?

I found this one that I like but not sure how I feel about carbon frame. I’ve never really liked the way carbon frames ride but granted I haven’t ridden one in 15+ years though.

I guess. It’s on par with what my kids ride to go mountain biking and I suppose it holds up OK for them. It is much harder to tune it in properly and keep it there with the low end stuff though, and it will be heavy. But if fitness is your goal then heavy is actually better!
