This. Ritchey logic will be perfectly fine. I’m actually running a 600 headset on my old mountain bike because when the original broke that was all I could get in 1" threaded. And it’s been on there for >20 years now and still going strong.
The dies at a bike shop are more for chasing threads than cutting them.

Yes. But volvo and mercedes parts are easy to find for the models he’s talking about.
Car seats work just as well secured by seatbelts as by LATCH, they just aren’t as convenient.
