I prefer using glasser and userstyle scripts to give a win7 transparent feel to the fox. That said, I installed personas on my GF's underpowered lappy and it works like a charm. I also get the feeling it uses less resources but that could just be me. Anyway, personas themes are slowly getting better and I would expect

@D0rk: Agree with the feeling, I'm in a lifehacker post!

@Simon Wong: Agreed, but I guess that's the price we canucks pay for living in a small (population-wise)country covered in snow most of the time with nothing but free healthcare and (mostly) free education to warms our cold little hearts.

@SaGR: agreed, TED is awesome.

@lolwut?: I hear you for the Word issue! Damn thing freezes up and loses everything up to a certain point, regardless of autobackup...

Nice site! don't know sh!t about cameras and I don't want to buy one but this kind of UI could be useful for other products... hope things work out for the owners and they make a similar site for other stuff.

@redfish907: Well show YOUR setup MR. Fancy pants. *sticks out tongue and runs away*

Protip: *Warning: Very Dark Sidish* Some retailers have a policy of exchanging a product instead of simply replacing it if the value is under 100 to 200$ when you take their ''1 year warranty program'' . As such, for electronic with a built-in battery (except Ipods), Go make an annual visit at the end of the warranty

@TheOtherHalf: A ''friend'' told me spook training required agents to learn passwords using only muscular memory, basically learning to type the password without knowing it. Don't know if it's true but I must confirm that when applied it's pretty easy to make hard, incoherent passwords that are relatively easy to

A whole new ribbon tab for just 2 functions? I love the ribbon but someone, somewhere has to figure out how to trim the ribbon bar (additional tools section?). Would also be fun to have other themes but I guess one thing at a time is sufficient.

@Samuel David: I disagree with 1 and 2, I'm a law student that does not drink alcohol and coffee (no I'm not religious)and neither does my GF. But I do agree about that being a heavy trend in law school...

@winsucker: I agree for the window-desk relationship but I must admit I adore having my netbook placed right under my screen (which is wall-mounted) and using synergy and dropbox (both featured here) to become a productivity monster! I can have multiple files open and don't require a second screen or managing screen

@SterlingCrispinus: As a law student I concur, my apartment looks like a war zone were shells are books and bodies, court cases. It does not help that my GF is also studying law. Anyway,

Interesting. Might try it with my kid brother... or my grand-ma...

@vlatro: Actually I find weave to be quite essential if you have more then 2 computers. But I guess everyone is entitled to their opinion...

@carleeto: 100% agree I usually add to those two Flashblock, IE tab and download statusbar. For people that already started browsing using IE I also throw in a IE theme so they can more easily visually recognize functions their use to. I also change the default icon and name of firefox to those of IE and remove all

Congrats. Lifehacker is hands down my favourite blog. You guys (and gals) deserve it.
