Wait until they announce the 720, things may change. Remember how the PS3 was rumoured to block used games? I'm betting this is the same thing. And the Xbox may have other things up it's sleeve!
Fair enough, those are valid points.
You could also buy a used Xbox if not paying Microsoft is what you care about. Besides, my point was that no matter what, you are using Microsoft tech. If the game even touches Direct X, it uses Microsoft tech. And all but a handful of games use DirectX. You cannot escape Microsoft no matter what you do.
Wait a minute... Most PC gamers use Windows, and most PC games are made for Windows... Oh my God, you're a MicroSlave no matter what you do! It's a conspiracy I tell you!
Show me the benchmarks.
Anyway, its a moot point. Epic just stated that UE4 could be put on WiiU or Xbox360.

It's sometimes fun to see what time you can get in the most ludacris of cars. Also, it is funny when you upgrade a van to max, pick it for a race against your friend, and beat them while they have a super car.
Because if the system already supports the engine, the required work is almost nil. Could probably make all the money back with a few thousand units sold. In that case, why wouldn't you just to make a few bucks off the people who only own a WiiU?
The PS3 is reknown for being hard to program for, but they still put UE3 on it. Still, I suppose you do have a point. Maybe the WiiU is just too hard to make it worth it.
I was thinking more along the lines of skip that step and just port the exact same game as on the other systems but with the graphics turned down. Half the games you can play with just the normal controller anyway.
Same here! Especially when Shatner accuses the Gorn of hamming it up.
It creates a vicious cycle: Why make games for a system no one has? And why buy a system that no one makes games for? I was really hoping for UE4 to be WiiU compatible, because given this past console generation many games will be made using it. UE4 on WiiU would almost guarantee we received games, if only because the…
I don't get it. UE4 on phones? No problems! UE4 on a system more powerful that you phone? NOT ENOUGH POWER!!!!
+1.
Pretty much the same here. It, unfortunately, is going to go down in history as the best game no one acknowledged.
I have to disagree. Bad Company 1 and 2 had decent single player campaigns and top notch multiplayer. Same thing with Halo and StarCraft. Studios make games that do both well all the time. Just because they are trying to make a decent single player mode does not mean that the multiplayer will be at all lackluster.
My $60 Nvidia 130 from 2009 can still play all the latest games. Just not at max settings. If you need to run games at Ultra level settings, then yes you will pay a hefty price. But if you're willing to play at low settings, well $60 for a card that has lasted 4 years is cheap compared to $300 for an Xbox or PS3
Honestly, this is the only game so far which looked better than current gen to me.
