It’s funny you mention the “toasty oasis.” Mine was the first car I had with seat heaters. That did leave an impression on me.

I owned a 5-speed NA 240 wagon once upon a time. While cool in concept, it was a horribly underwhelming experience. I think many who lust after these things have never driven one. These do not bring lust, or hate, or appreciation, or any emotion.

You can achieve that tow rating by getting either the Sport or Sport S model with the Max Tow Package and the 8-speed automatic transmission.I believe the Rubicon similarly equipped is 7000 pounds. When I was considering one it was THE reason for the automatic as far as I was concerned.
