That attitude just makes me want to travel with him.

When I had my F150 I would make one stop for 10ish minutes to fill my 36 gallon tank. Now I make two shorter stops.
I’m excited about them.
I totally understand that. I’m not saying BEV=bad, I’m saying what would work for me.
Wrong. Take a look at my other comments in this thread. I actually like elcetric vehicles. Range/refuel is way more important to me than 1000HP for a DD. A hybrid is very much a possibility for my next car.
I love the Volt. I handle some fleet needs for my employer and ordered one and had a charger installed.
That is the best solution right now. When a hybrid F150 comes around I’ll be very interested.
I’m with you. At some point that may be my solution. Very fast charging would make me change much sooner.
Yes, I would much rather stop by a gas station once every week and a half to two weeks when I’m around home and have the ability to refuel in ten minutes on a trip than eliminate regular fill-ups and make my trip fills longer.
I would be fine with one for her use case. For “my” use I want either insane range or quick fueling, whatever the fuel. Preferably both.
Right now I have elderly parents and a child’s family 800 miles in one (very rural) direction and business needs 1000 miles in another direction. I love to drive, I like electric cars. This is the one thing I need to convert me.
Many times a year (avg. once a month) I will drive 800-1000 miles in a day and then return a few days later. Current BEVs are good for the majority of my days, but not the majority of my miles. I know I’m probably an outlier, but that’s what I want. I’m not going to rent every month. Many of these look good to me, but…
OK, we get it. These fuckers are fast. Still not buying until refuel is as convenient as gas. Please make that happen and I’m in.
Hell yes!
It’s part of an ongoing birth control strategy.
That makes sense- next level public transportation. This is not the next level of the personal car.
I know I sound like a broken record, but I don’t see the sharing portion of this dream being a reality. Give me a private living room/bedroom (bathroom?) on wheels and I’m in. I’m not down with a shared unit. Y’all are nasty. Maybe I am too.
Just like all the pockets in my car.
A couple years ago I was at work during a snow storm. I’m in Facilities and I was looking out the 2nd story window on the mostly empty parking lot with one of the maintenance supervisors. Damn near no one was coming in. But then we saw it. One of the young guys that worked in our building, sales or something, drove a r…
