Also, the language in the film implied to me that Luke SAW Ben turn evil in a vision. Not that Luke was *worried* Ben could be evil, but that he forsaw it happening just as he saw Han and Leia’s pain in Cloud City. In the final flashback in LAST JEDI, Luke is hearing lightsabers clashing and people screaming in his

Agreed. That’s another stupid fucking argument from people who willfully ignore things literally said and done in TLJ. At no point does Luke state or do anything to that shows him “giving up” on Kylo. The fact that he DIDN’T physically confront him supports that: Luke didn’t see a benefit to engage in a laser sword

Wait, there are people who don’t already know this?? It was obvious to me the first time I saw it in the theater and I was five years old at the time. Luke looks down at his mechanical hand, realizing that he’ll become like Vader if he kills him.

The Democratic party is a firm that does the same thing half the time and the other half of the time argues with itself over whether or not it can be allowed to do it.

Yeah, I came here to say this, too. In public, with these kinds of media, this is the future.

People don’t tacitly sign a waiver agreeing to have their image, goings-on, and physical location splashed all over the internet just because they dared to leave the house.

Tell me how the team knowing the exact amount of time would hurt things and I’ll never complain about this again.

Ideal Perfect game: 27 swinging strikeouts

Then why not just display the fucking ref watch?? So fucking stupid.

So all the players have access to that watch?

Der ball is also what the Mets play.

One of the things I dislike most about soccer is that arbitrary extra time thing. One of the great aspects of sports is the idea of giving it your all when shit is on the line and the game is almost over: pulling a goalie, closers and pinch hitters, fouling the other team to seemingly only lengthen the game by 45

If they didn’t reshoot Rogue One to toss in some fan service in the form of Vader and CGI Leia, people would complain about that movie too. As I stated elsewhere, Force Awakens and Last Jedi were well received by critics and made tons of money so the movies did just fine by most. It’s just a very vocal minority gets

“It had the worst scene in all of Star Wars, Canto Bight (most people who like it even admit this)

It had the main character learning things in mere hours that took “The Chosen One” years to learn.

People who claim this movie ruined Star Wars but didn’t make the same claim of Phantom Menace or Attack of the Clones are full of shit.  At the end of the day, this is somewhere between the 3rd and 8th best Star Wars movie depending on your taste. It has some amazing moments and some subpar - just like every Star Wars

“What are you confused about?

Same. I absolutely loved it and it is still far and away my favorite Star Wars film.

I feel like I’m in the Twilight Zone when I read the various negative reactions to this film. Like, I genuinely do not understand how we saw the same film

“ because it’s a structurally questionable movie with some bad writing and underdeveloped (or underused) characters.”
