Old millennial here (born in 1981). Of course now-a-days everyone drives boring car-based SUVs, so I will stick with high-school (late ‘90's). There were actually very few people with expensive cars in high-school. Even kids whose parents had money drove only ok-ish cars (mostly). And we had a very wide variety in the

I have been to Atlanta 3 times and had a great time on all 3 occasions. Twice for work, and once on my own. The most recent time was for work and I was worried that my co-worker and I were going to getting into trouble for having too good of a time.

While my gut reaction is BMW drivers, when I actually think about it, it’s pick-up truck drivers. Apparently the rules for them are different than the rules for the rest of us. Red-light...just a suggestion. 4-way stop...waiting your turn is for snowflakes. Giving extra room for bicyclists, pedestrians, little old

I had a 2014 Mustang GT. It was, by far, the one physical, tangible, object that has brought me the most joy in my life. Thus, it made me a bigger car hobbyist. (Please note that I said physical object...there are innumerable people, experiences, etc. that I treasure more and/or have brought me more joy).

Good idea on having the two in there.

I read this link and according to it, in a road car you should right-foot brake. Only when racing should you consider left-foot braking (after a lot of practice). Again, according to this link.

This is exactly right. This scenario happens all the time...

Hmm. Mostly ‘1st Gear’ takes so far. I have opinions there but instead...

I just drove the 450-ish mile trip from Boston to State College, PA today. I was surprised how many semis there were. Most idiocy I saw was from people in passenger vehicles, though not necessarily around the trucks. Only times I saw semis potentially cutting people off where when there were disabled cars in the

I never said government grants freedoms. I said it guarantees them...aka protects them. Countless examples, but let’s go with the EPA. I would certainly say that not breathing toxic air or water helps me to ‘life’ and ‘the pursuit of happiness’. Maybe even ‘liberty’ if you want to dive deep. Maybe you don’t call clean

I think this should be broken into two questions...most embarrassing thing you’ve done trying to impress a guy/girl. And then most embarrassing when not trying to impress a guy/girl.

Excellent point. Most people are too oblivious to understand the compromises associated with public owned spaces. Just like people are too oblivious to understand the compromises that come with the overall freedoms guaranteed by government (or even understand why government exists in the first place).

I am sure most, if not all, of these users of BLM lands are not communists, so why not determine a value to said destruction and charge them for it..aka higher pass prices? (Some economist can chime in here with book-words like ‘tragedy of the commons’, ‘market externalities’, etc. if they please.) Yeah, it will be a

To me this almost entirely consumer driven. Some of it might be pandemic and chip shortage hangover, but it’s really the choices we, often collectively, have made toward cars. Call it what you will (I dislike the ‘keeping up with the Joneses’ expression ) but to me people are buying more car then they need and can

I have two questions for left-foot brakers...

No Dice. While this appears to be a top notch build that looks great and no doubt performs great, I personally don’t get these restomods. You see it mostly with restomodded Broncos and sometimes Blazers; where the capability of these machines is their off-road ability. But, for me, I could never take such a nice (and

How about ‘sheared sheer off’?

Yeah. That is how I would describe my 2021 Mazda6. Not good. Not bad. Some days I hate that it’s not a touchscreen (wheel), some days I like that it’s not. Same goes for the locking of some functionality while the car is moving. Some times I think, ‘Yeah you shouldn’t be able to do this while driving 70 down the

Massachusetts is a hell-hole. I had a daughter in April (I’m the father) and the state paid most of my wages while I stayed home to bond with her. What monsters!

I had a 2014 Mustang GT with the MT82 that I daily drove for 115k miles (in the Boston area). Maybe I got lucky, but I never had one problem with my transmission. I did end up getting rid of the car mostly because I lost compression on a cylinder (probably a valve seat) and it wouldn’t pass inspection. Still ran
