I was a bit worried his rebellion was just lipservice and he’d toe the party line of the Spider Society and I’m so glad I was wrong. Hobie fucking ruled. I love how much of an instigator he was for Miles’s story.

Something I really appreciated that this doesn’t touch on is how it eschews the obligatory antagonism between him and Miles over the potential love triangle. Miles starts out a little pressed but Hobie is simply too cool for it to faze him, and that ease pretty quickly gets the better of Miles as well.

I think the Spider Cop in question isn’t a reference to the game. The spider badge gives it away as Universe X Spidey. After alot of moping in Earth X, Pete joins a resurgent superpowered NYPD under Luke Cage, where they wore cop uniforms with vestiges of their super hero outfits. Cage had his belt chain and I think

Remember when we would spend $3,000+ for a HDTV or high-end computer? It’s not too far off tbh. Features and functionality seem pretty damn cool to dictate that price point. I’m tempted.

Kind of surprised that Blu-ray sales are still considered an important metric. I figured the majority of consumers just use streaming.

Happy to see Frictional taking some risks and trying some new gameplay ideas. Their last few games were very focused on narrative with very “safe” gameplay. Though I really enjoyed the narratives, the gameplay started feeling a bit stale. Glad to hear The Bunker mixes things up.

I’ve only played a few hours of the first game, and was bored to tears because it just... wasn’t scary at all? It doesn’t help  that you’re basically immortal (and “dying” just makes the game easier)

So, what is the reason why Marvel/Sony couldn’t use Spider-Man from the ‘90s animated show, but the one from Spider-Man Unlimited, almost the exact same character, is fine? And why no love for the MTV Spider-Man? Or Spider-Boy? Just hide him in the background, DC won’t notice.

Chainsaw Man anime which, according to Screen Rant, moved a mere 1,735 copies in its first week

I would be extremely bummed to see another studio put on CSM, Mappa did a great job adapting the comic to animation.

Well, if we take a dystopian world view you could make an argument for cramming a lot of workers into small cubicles built into the cheapest warehouse possible and giving everyone Apple’s headset, thus saving money (real space is expensive) and letting the workers feel like they are working in a forest or by the sea

The first thing going through my mind watching this in the theater was, “This is really low quality with really bad sound design (almost no music and someone just using their own voice for most of the sounds) and really choppy animation. But... I really love it? So maybe they did it on purpose?”

It is great that they posted this on Saturday - as they request you use their support system to make the request - which only runs Mon-Fri.

Just... phenomenal customer service.

Great. I already own all of these games - and I bought KotOR2 on Switch specifically because of this promised DLC. I really need to stop supporting developers before they’ve delivered on promises...

I think: Square Enix doesn’t want VII R to get in the way of their XVI marketing until well after its launch... *and* I wouldn’t be surprised if VII R gets pushed back at least a bit. Even if it was, somehow, mostly done - it’s gonna need time for another marketing push!

FFVII Rebirth is absolutely- and I say this with the utmost certainty I’ve ever had on piece of personal conjecture- *NOT* coming out in 2023.

I thought he was robbed until I saw that he got $700 on top of the Switch. Geeze people overreact and overvalue some things...

Why is this graph formatted in this way? Every bar adds up to 100% so why aren’t they all the same size? Unless there’s more to this than is being presented, the only thing I can think is that it’s to make the increased spending on Live Service games seem more scary.

Oh boy, more live service games. And so happy the microtransactions market is banging, I’m really looking forward to more of that too.

This was already posted on the other story about this on May 9, wasn’t it?
