Over the Hill is one of my favourite overworld themes. I remember playing FF9 when it first came out I often looked after my baby nephew and he would just fall asleep on my lap when I entered the overworld.

I remember how much I looked forward to this game being a Nintendo fan. I read a gaming magazines at the time and I still remember little me reading an interview where they said it would take 24 hours to get from one side of the map to the other! My mind was blown away (and in my defence they didn’t say in world time

How could you talk about Legend of Dragoon and not mention the amazing vocal theme “If you still believe”. While I don't remember much about this game - that song has stayed with me.

Final Fantasy: Witcher of the Thrones description I read somewhere nailed it for me.

Grateful for some advice! I have a PS4 and an Xbox One... but I only have Xbox Live. I was primarily buying this for the campaign.

Maybe I am a relic / hold out... But I don’t see the fuss over 4k yet. If it keeps cost of consoles down, game production down, less stress on those who work on games and the ability to focus more on creating better games... Then I am happy to leave 4k for a while...

I love unearthing retro JRPGs, forgiving their flaws and cherishing their strengths, but Crystal Chronicles is a flawed game that should remain buried, and the remaster doesn’t do anything to fix it.”

There is quite a feeling of performance drop on the Switch, but haven’t played it on other formats so I can’t say for certain. However, it feels clear from comparison videos.

Please do an article on the the amazing OST of Super Turrican. I still get goosebumps when I hear the music for Stage 1

The Sector 5 song, “Hollow Skies,” has more than a passing similarity to the theme song from Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII, the only PSP game to ever make me cry. That song’s title? “The Price of Freedom.”

Arrgghh! I hated that Life in Aggro comic so much!!! It made me think for a week that I accidently stumbled into a Final Fantasy 7 remake spoiler and that Marlene got unexpectedly killed at the end since people kept referring to an unexpected addition at the end.

I had the exact same reaction...

Was the SNES version the same because I remember renting and beating that... I don’t remember much... but I do remember that I spent hours doing one level over and over again...

Have you recently fully updated your joycons? Mine started to drift when playing Fire Emblem Three Houses and I started to worry, etc. It was to the point that it even happened on the menu screen, eshop, etc. Then I did the updates... it seemed to be slightly less frequent but still happened. Then a month ago I did

Wow those are some big spoilers for the first episode of Life is Strange 2 (ie the finale of the first episode) which has a much better impact if you go in not sure what what to expect.

I agree with the comments made that the Divine Beasts needed a unique identity for each as well as the shrines and how they flowed. But - I wouldn’t want them to go back to the previous dungeon format. In hindsight, for me they felt like oppressive claustrophobic spaces that goes against the feeling of openness,

I just bought FF7 for the Switch...

The reality is that if Google were really serious about Stadia then there would be a bigger advertising campaign around the launch. The fact that I didn't even know the Stadia was to launch next week until I saw this article speaks volumes.

As long as you are enjoying it. I just hope that you don’t miss out on ‘best’ games of recent years to focus on the back catalogue. In terms of the games you mentioned - I enjoyed Max Payne 3 when it came out although I am not sure how well it holds up. Fallout 4 is usual of the main story being disappointing (as in
