I’m curious about this. Are you really serious about playing all of them? Why wouldn’t you just play the games that really appeal to you/rated highly.

Switch have had some great sales on that has made me finally a) Play the Switch since not touching it since BotW b) Buy/play some indy games.

It does make me wonder if this is done on purpose (portrait, weird gameplay decisions, etc.). This could have easily been a full fledged Mario Kart game using mobile phone gyro (which has worked well in other games) and in reality they only need 3 on display buttons. Accelerate, brake and use item.

I have been going through Xbox Game Pass games taking full advantage of the £2 for two months offer. Will be starting Banner Saga 3 (amazing series so far) and sporadically having short bursts of Hollow Knight (that well end up not being so short).

Are there actually any statistics on how many people buy EA Access and use it regularly. In this case it might be a win win. Adds to EA Access library and if (for free) it does better at being a live service then hopefully EA Access will have a better retention rate of people renewing as they can play Antham a bit

FF8 soundtrack is amazing! Especially the quieter tracks.

It’s interesting as I have not seen a single game this winter that is a must buy on release. That is great news! What has also helped focus me more recently is the Xbox Game Pass discount (£1 a month for a couple of months). I have played and ‘completed’ the core MHW (no interest using it as a live service game), DMC

I read this entire article hearing Tim Rogers’ voice... Then I started reading the comments and still heard Tim Rogers’. As I re-read this comment I still hear his voice. I hope this does not continue. I am writing several reports today for work. Or maybe this will be an amazing day.

I'm curious about what your long way round was as there is a huge short cut that means it only takes 2 mins to flip the switch (I never even tried to fly my ship near the black hole...).

Bah, the only true Rainbow Road is the SNES one. It was the only course that I went on repeatedly on time trial. It was incredibly intense with no barriers and the speed at which it goes by.

Now playing

This feels very strange. I just watched Game Maker’s Toolkit on the same topic and it is eerily similar to Chris Totten’s tips. I'm sure it is just a coincidence, but still.

I am struggling to understand why there is so much anger about Epic Store exclusives (e.g. Shenmue 3, etc.). I understand it from a business perspective in relation to competing with Steam and practical issues with the Epic Store lacking features.

I really hope that FF7 takes the best part of FF15 and that is the continual interactions between the characters. There was a little bit with Barratt and Cloud fighting the boss, but I hope this is a full feature in the game.

You dumm up my thoughts perfectly!

I suppose it also depends when you watched those anime. At the time each of the ones you mentioned came out was a marked shift. If you tried watching them more recently then that impact would be lost and there are more things to compare it to.

So what you are looking forward to is... seeing all of FF7 remade? I was hoping you would be a little bit more selective.

That's interesting as I had the opposite reaction. I thought it looked amazing and perfect for something like this (i.e. remake rather than for a new title). It just feels so polished for what the art style is. It was one of the games that visually stayed with me after E3.

You perfectly described how I felt playing this game!

I completed this game when it came out on the PS3 and I remember feeling underwhelmed by it. I can’t help but feel that if this wasn’t attached to Studio Ghibli it would not get the attention it has done. It felt like a throwback to older games with a simplistic story, world (although pretty) and I remember it feeling
