Game Pass is amazing! I avoided it for a long time hating subscription services, but after seeing it on offer for £1 for 3 months I decided to give it a go just to try Monster Hunter World and its great. At least 19 games on it I have wanted to play (games in brackets are ones that I have played but are still great).

I'm not sure what the purpose of these articles are. It seems strange that Kotaku are so overtly negative about essentially free VR updates and content. If VR was being sold as a DLC then I would completely understand how negative the article is. Otherwise you are complaining about free content. I would at least

I was going to dismiss this, but the team based racing has my interest. The most enjoyable part of Mario Kart on Snes and N64 was its difficulty once you reached 150cc and above. I always played split screen with my brother and at that point we put our differences aside. Whoever is first in the first race needs to win

I agree. I loved the first PvZ and more than happy to pay for the game. I really looked forward to the sequel but quickly lost interest. Most of the charm ended up feeling overrun with microtransactions and that killed it for me. EA also killed off Peggle for me. Such an amazing game before it became ridden with

Given that these are free updates to the BotW and Mario.... I think people are being a bit harsh on Nintendo and expecting too much. It is actually amazing that they did this in the first place (especially creating new Mario Odessey levels) in addition to the Labo VR Kit.

What you meant to say is Apex Legends “which I’m telling myself could just be” a multiplayer Titanfall 2.

There seems to be a lack of attention on why this has the potential to be so successful... Convenience. That is why Netflix and Spotify are successful. They are the easiest way to consume media (even more so than torrenting). A gaming example (non-streaming) is the Switch. It is popular because it is so convenient to

Or you can try playing with another character. It’s people like you who ruin so many games by just exiting and leaving the squad outnumbered with two players. I’m glad you have quit as it means you haven’t really got the community spirit of the game.

That's interesting... I thought more people would be playing Apex... Part of me wants to start a new game, but I can't bring myself to start something like RD2 or AC Odessey. So I might settle for a few hours of Apex and life stuff.

This. I’m not sure how it would feel for someone now, but as you said... When it first came out it felt like a breath of fresh air. You had the last FF6-8 focusing on sci-fi fantasy that FF9 was meant to hark back to earlier FFs. Especially when you compare the differences in the opening scenes, art styles and Zidane

I really hope they start playing a Bowser theme as he goes on stage or the next Nintendo Direct. Or Mario 64, the letter and sound when Bowser sends a letter.

Now playing

How could you not mention FF IX - Burmecia? That haunting music music has stayed with me since I first played it when it came out.

I am a huge Nintendo fan and I can safely say that Skyward Sword is not worth going out of your way to play even if it came without motion control support (unless you really have to play every mainstream Zelda game). There is a greater fault at its core, which is actually to with how stilted the game play/progression

I still remember interviews before this game was released. In particular, that it takes 24 (in game) hours to reach one side of the world to the other. Although child me did for a time think it was 24 hours in real time... The image has stayed in my head ever since. A game so large that a single journey could take a

Let me know how it goes and if you manage to get into it more as the game goes on!

So is there going to be a retraction/apology in the Assassin’s Creed Odessey review about the fear of crunch without any evidence? Quote below:

Puddlegate was an over exageration, but it did feel like a downgrade. I still enjoyed the game, but I was still disappointed when playing it for the first time and the graphics were not as polished.

So after the 'crunch' period and when the game is about to be released they say OT is not mandatory. This will only mean something if the workforce are on permanent contracts, etc. So when is the next GTA coming out? Let's remember this article for a couple of years time when it does. Or even better... Create a

I work in a team that has flexi to make up for ‘crunch’ times (although rarely take it). I agree it is toxic, but not about losing career opportunities (although that might be a result). When other people are working long hours and you are a nice person then you are put in a position where you want to help them. I am

Is it just me or does there seem to be way too many AAA coming out in a short space of time. The ones off the top of my head are Spider-man, Assassin’s Creed Odessey, Fifa 19, COD and then Red Dead Redemption 2... Three of the five being open world and the other two very online focused. Who has time (and money for all
