I am surprised I didn’t think about this before, but why did they only do licensed games. If the licenses were so expensive, why didn’t they mix it with original IPs where some of the more ambitious people at Telltale could do something different and take risks. 

This has really surprised me and hurts a lot. There does not really feel like there is another studio putting out content similar to Telltale at the same consistency and frequency.

I think I felt a similar way. Skyward Sword almost felt like the end of an era. For a while I thought maybe it was true all along and I had... out grown... Nintendo games or that they could no longer make classics. 

I am not too bad as I buy games for my nephews to play... So there are a few games I ‘lend’ them that I have never touched.

My thoughts exactly. The amount of time they spent fine tuning the entirety of the map would have been mind boggling.
