Love me some SwipePad. If it's an app I use frequently, that's where it's going. Never could figure out a way to make it play nice with WidgetLocker, though (SwipePad staying active while phone is locked). SwipePad functionality won out and I stopped using WidgetLocker.
Just wanted to throw in my application to be a member of this club. I recall a lazy day maybe three years ago when Superman III was on cable. This made my day. It's sad to see what a development graveyard AndroidDeck became after the Twitter purchase. Will definitely be downloading... now.
Our city will upgrade you to programmable thermostats for free, but as a consequence of that, you opt-in to the brownout program (if the system is too taxed in the summer months, the city can force some units to shut down for an hour or so). We had no problem with this, but our landlord refused the upgrade, arguing…
I'm with you. This the first I've heard of this "off-hand wipe" principle.
"If you don't have any bananas on hand, Apple's should work just as well."
But you've got to use a spoon anyway to eat the soup, right?
