I've actually heard they've gotten a lot better, though there are some models that rate pretty poorly. I got one early spring and have absolutely loved it.

Anyone who thinks the OS update wouldn't be good hadn't tried the original. It's a solid OS. The company has strategically fucked themselves and been slow in it's support, but I don't think there was any doubt by anyone who has a Playbook that it wouldn't suck.

The OS is quite nice. It's very smooth, multi-tasking a breeze. I've been rooting for them, because I honestly feel like it should be at least the #2 tablet, ahead of Android.
