I don’t think the lawyer knows that those words mean when laid out all together in sequence like that...

Interesting. I believe the “rules” of storytelling can translate across any medium; how you bend, or break them is perhaps what can make the telling of a story ‘good,’ or ‘bad,’art’ or downright shitty.

Sexism sells, baby! Eyeballs are eyeballs...

Me either. Maybe there is something to be learned from the reverse; the Movie to Game adaptation. I feel like there have been a handful of those. Perhaps reverse engineering that would be worth the time.

Can you think of a game-to-film adaptation that has been “good?”

I think you’re exactly right and as the gap between inherent technological differences between Sony and Microsoft (who famously sell consoles at a loss—the logic being that they’re looking at market penetration as a priority) closes, the idea that they become publishers rather than technology and hardware brokers.

Not convinced that the ‘Game to Feature film’ model is one that generates a compelling narrative experience.

A lot of gamers have two systems, or one system and a PC. Between Sony and Microsoft, the exclusivity argument is becoming more and more moot, especially over the lifecycle of on an IP that most times sees it appear somewhere else. It’s also more beneficial to the studio to have more opportunities to sell a game. But

I didn’t think about the media rights. Especially as Halo is about to premiere is mediocre, rubbery-looking Halo series. Bungie has been saying they’re getting into TV and Film for years, so yeah... this is a good move for Bungie and for Sony.

The studios are worth more if the IPs remain multi platform. The incentive for exclusives driving console purchases is somewhat irrelevant.

Ridley Scott is 84 years old and this show is evidence of his mental deterioration that (in my guestimation) began with Prometheus.

Prometheus is genius compared to this drivel.

Other words to describe: “Preposterous, “ridiculous” and “hilariously bad.

Just... uh... I mean I WANT to see this movie, but um... just uh... just don’t say anything before you screw it up for me.

There should be a fine for littering.

Let’s squeeze every last drop of gasoline from this fossil fuel nightmare....

Turns out it’s no fun owning the libs, when there are no libs.

F9: The Fast Saga and The GI Joe Movie.

Another reason why one person crews are a terrible idea and newsrooms are shitty, corporate-driven, shit-shovelers.

May the force be with these scientists...
