I'll bring my tequila and limes.

It's not just men that feel that way. My elderly female former co-worker said the same thing to me once. Why people think it's ok to talk like this in a work setting is beyond me.

Yeah, same here. A big part of me wants to leave Texas, but its awful politics aside, I love it here and I can't take my vote to another state.

Haha, that reminds me of all those funny pictures that look so odd until you look closely.

As Kara said, she means major news outlets. NBC's Today Show had just a few seconds of air time, ABC's Good Morning America? I tuned in, and didn't really see any coverage. Up until this morning I kept wondering why Twitter, Gawker, XoJane, Buzzfeed and countless other gossip sites had more coverage than national

I liked Crash when it came out, but now it seems so stereotypical.

The romantic interest is a compulsive liar. Sad that I remember that.

I'm in the same boat. We can be in the grey comment section together. I've been reading and commenting on Jezebel for several years but I was never starred or followed by anyone.

Same here. I liked the new system where my comments were visible along with others who were starred commenters. :(

The problem is that for many of these kids, the meals that are provided at school might be the only nutritious thing they get all day. In my area, many schools will continue to serve breakfasts and lunches to kids in the summer if the parents are willing to take them. My sister did that when she was in elementary

I stopped buying pretty coats for that reason as well. I bought a light blue coat that I used only once. And 2 years ago I bought this gorgeous red coat that I was going to wear around Christmas time...it never got cold so it still has the tags.

I am in the same boat that you are...except I didn't get a raise. A potential buyer of our company told my boss he would give me a raise...but I'm honestly tired of living on promises. I can't live my life hoping that this person might buy the company and might give me a substantial raise for all of the extra work

I have always taken this approach when it comes to work. Except, at my current job it hasn't paid off. I've been making the same low amount of money for the last 3 years and it's not even close to what the guy before me did, and he did so much less than I do. It bums me out. My boss said I would get a raise this year

Agreed. I wish more people in my area actually dressed up. Everyone wears the same stuff: jeans, shorts, tank tops, flip-flops. But then again, year-round Texas heat doesn't really allow you to wear large coats or ball gowns. :(

Yes, and a few others I've seen. Another one was when she was doing a shoot for Black Swan. Someone posted the magazine picture and the picture of her walking out of the shoot...she looked really different.

Can I be one of your close friends? This sounds awesome!

My mother raised me like that. She would invite a ton of people to our parties who would come, so she felt like she needed to go to their parties in return. My boyfriend's parents are the same so I'm guessing when we come up with our guest list for our wedding that will come into play as well.

Yes! So many people that are going in for photoshoots admit that they stop drinking even water before a shoot so that they are as lean as possible.

Yes, I agree. I understand a lot of these celebrities might be pretty, but they don't look amazing 24/7. What about someone like Mila Kunis? I see her in movies or magazine spreads and she looks so gorgeous. But then in real life pictures she doesn't look the same.

It can also be the result of plastic surgery. Not just genetics or whatever exercise or diet they follow.
