I wonder if Supergirl will ever explain why Kryptonians feel they have to have their house sigils on every single piece of clothing they wear, even sleepwear. Presumably the show is following the lead of the Donner movies’ costume design, but what’s the in-universe reason?

It’s good fun. Canary and Snart are my hands down favorites, but the rest of the cast is pretty good, too. There are plot holes big enough to fly the Millennium Falcon through, but I don’t really watch these shows expecting them to be air tight.

The DCAU version was also excellent

As opposed to trying to shoehorn all these storylines into a single universe, we let the characters exist in a multi-universe, and it’s a lot more fun, and a lot more value for the audience.

Young Superman has the curly-q-hair thing going on; man if I already wasn’t onboard with this show I definitely am now.

OH MY GOD I KNOW. I’ve adored Clancy Brown ever since I watched Earth 2 as an impressionable pre-teen. Man, was I in love with John Danziger. I will forgive that man and his glorious voice just about anything, but.....ehhhhhhhh Warcraft movie? Ehhhhhhhhhhhh.

Imagine playing that disc and hearing a series of code that, when deciphered, warns of an imminent extraterrestrial threat to the solar system. Woah, I think we have a big summer blockbuster on our hands.

Having Ninth Doctor in there definitely would have been fan...tasy. A fantasy of mine. Because he’s so great, you see.

While I love the writing as usual, I’ve got to lend my voice to the group expressing disappointment with the slow phasing out of TV recaps. They’ve been a cornerstone of IO9 for a long, long time. They’re a big part of the reason why so many of us started coming to the site. I’m not against the merger, but when it

Zoom = Barry’s dad (John Wesley Shipp) alternate universe style. Prob didn’t get arrested, was science teacher (I think, or something similar), same base DNA for that transformation when ‘event’ happens on Earth 2 or whatever universe. Build is right, eyes look right the one time we got a decent unshadowy look. Makes

Agreed.

Bring ‘em on, CW, all the crazy heroes you can fit in there (minus the main Justice League cast, I guess). I’m just thrilled that [MASSIVE SPOILER] it only took you two episodes to kill Hawk-douche.

Yep, my thought exactly. Even looks-wise, they’re clearly a mirror of Mulder and Scully.

My wife is convinced that Supergirl can’t have an orgasm or she’ll crush her boyfriend’s penis. I’m not as sure- I think she can control it, but Mrs. Tot is convinced it’s out of a woman’s hands and any lover she takes is risking it.

I love this damn show. Lexa is so remote and calculated. I love the way the actress’ stoic poker-face cracks just a tinge when she sees Clarke.

I still wonder why they decided to air Part 1 and Part two separately. It’ painfully obvious this was supposed to be one story - and I think they’d have come much stronger out of the gate.

I mostly came to io9 for the TV recaps.

I wish CW had put the two parts together. I think the impression of the cohesive episode would have been better.

It replaced Young Justice and therefore will forever have my contempt.
