I love how she steps into it, too. I mean, sans FX, it’s just an actor responding to the imaginary stuff and a giant fan in her face. I know that’s her job but some people can try to sell a scene like that and some of them can get through it like a rock star.

As long as it doesn’t lead to her becoming depowered and wearing grungy clothing, because I will miss those skirts!

I have to say, even with the weird CGI thing they keep doing to her face, Calista Flockhart is just totally owning every scene she’s in, with little neat touches that make her “Devil Wears Prada” archetype into something more fascinating and intense.

For my money, the moment Supergirl sold me on itself, in spite of all the clunky goofiness, the girl on girl negging (seriously, everyone is SO mean to Kara and she is SO nice, believably and genuinely nice [props to Melissa for KILLING it with this character] that it’s been hard to watch episodes because I want her…

This! Truly that was like seeing (and hearing) a “all grown up” version of Slater’s “Pump up the Volume” character Hard Harry. It was glorious! , and fucken scary accurate.
