the reason that Lucy's family mystery isn't compelling is she's Flynn's Daughter. Mom got knocked up in College, Lucy has a resmblance to flynn and the guy KNOWS history, and he hasn't killed her. I'm thinking he's trying to get her back into his life to make up for not being able to be a Father from the start.
