Brian Anderson and Bill Schroeder north of your border have gotten very, very good. Anderson is just great at any game he calls, any sport he calls, and Schroeder is pretty good as the typical ex-player colorman. They make a very good team.

First thing I thought of. Second thing I thought of was the front page of the following days' Milwaukee paper (which I still have):
Hehe, yes, impressive indeed. Gomez has a talent. Ick. Absolutely, as I mentioned earlier, the best revenge is simply to use your bat or glove. He got his revenge, blasting that thing as hard as he did. Congratulations, home run, you surely showed him.
Good points. Again, as I mentioned in my last post, given that Gomez was inevitably going to do something, the best actions would've been for everyone to follow Maholm's lead: say your little piece, turn around, and get on with playing the game.
Thanks for the thanks. Far too often the discussions around these parts devolve into...well, you know. No need for that nonsense.
Having been a lifelong Brewers fan first and a Twins fan second (I certainly like to double my agony), I've followed Gomez career for some time. He is an extraordinarily talented player, but the epitome of the "Million dollar body, ten cent brain". Very gifted, but, prior to last year, had never shown anything more…
Been using an oven-safe rack for years, works flawlessly every single time. The rack we have has horizontal "wires" only, and even if we don't get to cleaning it right away, it cleans up easily, by hand or by dishwasher.
No kidding. The conversation should've ended. There.
As a Brewer fan, I'm disappointed in how much I care about how much less he cares less about caring less.
And as long as GMs gloss over positive tests and owners look at dog killers and guys with multiple DUI manslaughter convictions and say, "Yeah, he's worth millions," the conduct of players is incidental
I will immediately like to thank all three of you for have a cordial, intelligent conversation about the subject. Kudos, plus 1's, and all that to each of you.
Holy crap, what a mess.
Incorrect, twice. Neither am I young (hence my reference to being a fan through the "god awful years", which would be '79 -'91, the 10-6 '89 fluke year not included), and the amount of Packer "G" apparel was never as strong during those years. I lived in the far northern part of the state for a large chunk of that…
I'm also a lifelong Packer fan, who, like you, stuck with them through all the god awful years. And, like you, I was absolutely disgusted in the 90s when they rose to power, won the SB, and all the "fans" came out the woodwork and bought anything and everything with a "G" on it because that, of course, meant they…
As a matter of fact, it is Geddy.
Laughed out loud. I was gonna say Hubba Bubba.
Although I won't back Bud and the blind eye that was turned regarding PED's to get the game back on solid footing in the mid 90's, Sheehan's example of the '87 Brewers is sheer lunacy. With who's money was he supposed to "pursue stars such as Tim Raines, Jack Morris and Ron Guidry" (how was Raines supposed to help…
I did not miss the point and I completely understand it's a cheap beer list. I never said anything about "fancypants" beers. My favorite beer, my regular "session" beer, to use an idiotic stupid-ass term, is Point Special Lager. Cheap, 100+ year old formula beer. I didn't throw out the "from all corners" comment to…
As someone who spends a lot of time (probably too much) and money (probably too much) on chasing down and trying different beers from all corners of this country and the globe, I can honestly say this is one of the worst beer ranking lists I've ever read.
Great teams make perfectly executed exchanges like this seem like they should be referred to as one continuous play. Everything about it was perfection, and glorious to watch.
