All I got from this was “ME me Me me me me me”. Seriously.

I think the best part of your argument, and the one we call all agree upon, is “we don’t know”. No one knows, except those actually involved. So instead of righteous indignation on behalf of people that may not even want it, let’s all just quit flying the save everyone flag and stop.

Nope. You have to heat it very high for an extended period to kill the bacteria. Warming it up just promotes bacterial growth.

I don’t think so. You’d have to heat it to a really high temp for several minutes. If anything, I think microwaving would promote bacterial growth by just warming it to optimal temps. (Much like why you shouldn’t defrost meat in the microwave)

There was another option - that didn’t require nudity.

The whole class is actually there, and all of the students that have chosen to participate are naked at the same time.

Have you tried boxing? I come from a track background and also Tae Kwon Do, but got into Kickboxing (full contact competitive) when I was finished with my track “career”. After a decade of kickboxing (and three kids) I moved over to just boxing. It’s a great workout, plus most gyms offer a non-competitive training

After I was done with University sport I thought I’d try CrossFit, because I was used to high intensity workouts. It was so terrible. I had been coached by people with Masters degrees in Bio Mechanics and were top of their game, we had professional Olympic lifts coaches teach us proper technique, and then I went there

As a former university level athlete I thought CrossFit sounded like a good workout. Wow! The amount of bad technique going on in those gyms (I went to 3 different ones in 2 cities) was mind blowing. I can’t imagine too many beginners get out of there without hurting themselves. Even the “regulars” seem to be injured

I too love the deadlift! The problem is always too much weight forcing bad technique - same as any other lifting! Those who say never to do it should never lift anything then, your back can get hurt doing any exercise the wrong way.

My former coach (who had a MSc in Bio Mechanics) also said to keep the back flat on the bench. I feel like if my lower back was arched it would but weird strain on it? I always put my feet together on the end of the bench for stability, but if the bench was low enough on the ground flat footed on either side.

Fuck Malta, and their Knights. I (like the asshole I am) just ignored Cyprus and threw it in with Greece and Turkey. If they can’t decide who gets the island, they get zero recognition from me.

I vote instead of taking away Tunisia, we add Italy and Greece.

Still waiting from the original reply, if you’re serious about equating dog grooming and human grooming. But keep throwing the other random things in, like heels and foot binding. You’re doing great.

Okay, Morocco is a stretch. I’ll give you that one. You win. You get to be the pickiest pedant on the thread. Congrats!

You didn’t answer my question.

Mani pedi in a salon/spa staffed with girls who went to “beauty school” (so licensed in esthetics) in my area is upwards of $100. In the “cheap” places in my area mani/pedi is $40, which is double the amount of the prices in the NYT piece. I am in Canada, so I really don’t know if those salons are exploiting the

No no, the last point, equating human grooming to dog grooming. Like, that’s a little weird.

Our neighbours had a Keeshond and the kids always called him Chewbacca because of the way he whined! Must be a Keeshond trait!

Was she a huge Britney fan? Was she making a “I’m a slave 4 u” statement to her new spouse? So many questions!
