Removing the grimoire was a real mistake. It was great to read that stuff during Destiny 1 after finding various artifacts, but they removed it with the release of Destiny 2.

Can you give me some specific examples? I genuinely want to know what you consider bad about their rhetoric. Calling republicans, among other things, “feckless cowards” or the like is not bad.

I started following Gawker in either 2014 or 2015, I can’t remember. Absolutely loved that site, it had the best commentariat I’d ever seen. Splinter was great, too, but the trolls got pretty bad.

Remember Air America, the radio station that was supposed to be a liberal answer to Rush Limbaugh and all the other conservative talk radio shitheads? I wonder if a comparison can be made to Splinter. Politico and The Daily Beast seem to be doing ok (I acknowledge they are not the same type of website, but still...).

Can I use this to have a soapbox moment? The Slot needs to start churning out frequent political stuff since we don’t have Splinter anymore.

Before I go into a screed, let me give the disclaimer that I quit playing Destiny 2 during Curse of Osiris.

Destiny was just simply a better game, period. And the different locations felt bigger and more “complete”.
