It sounds like you’re reacting to your associations with the term “homeschooling”, rather than actually addressing the article. As I mentioned above, the author wrote this line:

I think we should throw away the term “homeschooling”. I agree that it would be silly for a parent to try as a single individual to re-create the division of labor that happens in the school system, and simply teach each subject themselves. But that’s not what this new wave of “homeschool”
education is about.
