Like it or not, check most voters lists of priorities, ESPECIALLY in New England, where we are being torn apart by opiods. The war on drugs, WHILE A BIG FUCKING DEAL, isn’t an election winning strategy to ride on.

No, it’s...not. It’s the response to Trump, the official response from the Democratic party. If you ran a large company, would you want your press releases fucking trashing the opposition? No, because that’s get you bad press.

Anyone who can’t backup the rhetoric with data doesn’t deserve a response.

Show me where the polling supports that, and I’ll believe you. Even though Joe...isn’t that much of a centrist on most issues, I’d like to point out most Americans aren’t that liberal as to want that agenda.

Okay, but that’s only the Kennedy. Face it, JFK’s popularity is tied to his family’s. But, if you need more...

That’s true. Bernie is a great guy. I really like him. But...I hate it when people complain about Bernie being mistreated in the primary, because...he’s not a Democrat. The Democratic primary understandable supported the actual Democrat.

He’s a really nice guy. I met him once, seemed super down to earth.

Centrists can’t be forgotten. Don’t forget that liberalism is a coalition that includes white centrists and POC progressives. Keeping one of those out would be bad, but to crib a phrase from Kennedy- we choose both.

You aren’t worth talking to. You refuse to understand that Democrats you like aren’t Democrats everyone likes. You oversimplify his policies and are straight up wrong about some of them.

Gallup polling says JFK has an approval rating the highest out of any former president, at 85 percent overall approval.

Voters don’t want divisive. Voters don’t want to hear a brutal smashing of Trump. I can get that any day, but an opportunity for Democrats to vocalise their policy goals is priceless right about now.

Did you really think a Democrat, even a progressive, was gonna talk about that social programming? Dude, we all want that, but they were always going to push an economic message no matter who went up.

His district is pretty anti- marijuana. I have family there, and he was under a lot of pressure to go against the grain. Literally no politicians are perfect on every policy. Everyone has one or two areas where they are weak, and this is one that, to be honest, effects a pretty small amount of people. It’s not an

I’m legit sort of confused as to what people here wanted out of that speech, and why he was bad for it. I wasn’t questioning my own support, but the opposition.

Dude, you obviously think he’s conservative as hell. I’ll strongly disagree. He voted against actual conservative policies like Kate’s Law. He backs stuff like enforcing pay equity. He tried to get the definition of marriage broadened. He’s not a conservative in the slightest.

The fact is that Democrats are trying to make white people, a group the Democrats see an opening in, care about immigration more. A decent way to do this is remind these white people that many of them descended from immigrants, and that the industrial Utopia Dorito Mussolini imagines was built by immigrants. Kamala

Oh, I get it. You aren’t a fan of the Kennedy’s. Remember, you are in a minority of the Democratic party when you say that.

I mean, he’s a standard Democrat. Do you want me to go on and on about how I love his party-line stance on immigration reform or healthcare? He seems focused on education. That’s good, right? A Democrat doesn’t have to be a maverick to be among the best young legislators a party has. He’s also extremely focused on

One thing- hell yeah, he does look like a hapsburg. Not one of the really bad ones, though.

Kamala Harris isn’t a great speaker. She kinda sucks, actually. Plus, this is a showcase for rising stars, and the Dems didn’t want someone who’ll run in 2020. The optics of choosing a sucky speaker and an ambitious 2020 candidate who has neither the support of the progressive wing or the moderates would
