Right, but there are ways to motivate outside of impeachment...which is polling badly. I know you’re saying “polls aren’t votes”, but are you saying that the polls don’t matter? At the end of the day, doing something unpopular on the off chance it motivates democrats with no chance of success seems crazy to me.

You don’t win elections with 39% of the votes overall. I suspect you’re underrating how little many independents or less motivated voters want impeachment- and any issue where 53% of Americans disagree with you along with 51% of independents is a terrible, terrible issue for you to press.

How much more motivated would you be if they impeached vs. what you should be motivated by, which is all of the wierd, dumb, evil crap Trump is doing? Requiring impeachment as what you need to be motivated is just a one way trip to him winning a second term.

Do you know who Marcus Smart is? Just asking, you seem to have forgotten for the purposes of your hot take....

Al Horford grins. “I do.”

Nah. New York is so thirsty for his ass it'll be all questions like "when you oil your godlike thighs, are they shimmery or more shiny?". He'll manage fine.

So is everyone else's city. If you actually went to Boston, you'd understand that race here is a lot more nuanced than a short article on busing or a the race speech from the Departed.

The Celtics said no witnesses would confirm that he'd said a racial slur, and they interviewed nearby people and other players.

Thank you Andrew, very cool!

A moment of silence for your no good-very bad take as the Celtics are kicking the warriors as we speak.

Right, because no one has ever heard of racism in the south.

I agree with the main text of this, but I will say that Charlie Baker has been a really good governor on the local issues that matter, and Maine just elected 2 Democrats and will probably elect a Democratic senator. Maine only elects Paul LePage because of a strong green party, a fact that no longer matters due to

Oh, I just realized you’d been asking for a specific example. You won’t find a public one. According to Wikipedia, there have only been 6 pro drivers who were openly gay as they were racing, and none with a high profile outside of Le Mans. That’s not a coincidence. Don’t assume that only talent wins races- it doesn't.

That’s true. Both sides of America are frustrated with the other, and it’s really a shame that we haven’t figured out how to get past it. We will eventually, but I fear what it'll take.

In all but 11 states, the state Republican platform specifically stated that state sponsored gay marriage should be abolished. I’ve given you several examples already- homophobia is real and alive in America.

No, I'm saying that they have a higher barrier of entrance now- and that it should be lowered to match that of a straight, white male in every way we can, because right now it's not the same.

I realize that, and I never said that ALL conservatives were homophobic, (and never mentioned religion at all) ...but just because your friends aren’t bigoted in your knowledge, it doesn’t mean that all of them, to a person, aren’t, and just because they don’t think of themselves as bigoted, doesn’t mean that some of

I agree- but there is a difference. The left is relatively unnaccepting of conservative opinions...on college campuses. Off of them, the attitude you see gets much less aggressive and far more despondent. Just as outside of like, Charlottesville, the right is pretty non-violent. I will say, though, that NEITHER of us

I’m not personally qualified to say, but I’d think that a lack of recognition of previous LGBT racers (some of whom had p successful racing careers), and a distinct conservative bias among many or most racing fans in Nascar or the American F1 community(e.g. literally half the comments here) is enough, and then there’s

No, you're bombing CNN. Better?
