It seems odd that you would recommend Dominion and not the actual Game of Thrones boardgame. Or another wargame like Risk: Legacy or Kemet. Or a game of social dynamics and implicit betrayal like The Resistance: Avalon or Battlestar Galactica.

Bride of Pin-Bot is the machine I want to master, but I get punked every single time. There's something about the progressive upgrades that gives me such a sense of accomplishment.
