A lot of kids only own 1 console. I work in retail and Minecraft on Ps3 is selling great. There are a ton of kids that played it at a friends house but couldn't own it until now.

You're talking as if this "Link" is one person.

If you think about it, Link isn't really a person, more of a symbol. There are many who take up the the sword and save Hyrule. They are nay the same person. It's only if the Master Sword accepts them, that they be the hero/heroes.
