1995-96 wasn't a complete loss. Remember, it's the season when Norm Macdonald played Bob Dole as a cast member of MTV's Real World. http://snltranscripts.jt.or…

Its naturally funny when people are reacting very seriously to something innocuous, like the sketch a few weeks ago where plainclothes cops are questioning suspects about La-La-Land. It's a lot harder to have people react in a silly way to a very serious premise and make that funny. Once in awhile SNL achieves that

Laura Parsons is one of the few repeat characters that I can't stand. When she comes on-screen, I fast-forward to the next segment or go for a snack if I'm watching live.

Yet more proof that SNL writers live in #TheBubble that they made fun right after the election.

If La-La Land had been the actual winner for Best Picture but Moonlight had been mistakenly announced by Warren Beatty and/or if Donald Trump had replied to the "u up" or #Merylsayshi tweets there would have been material for an Oscar SNL sketch.

If Hillary Clinton had won the presidency there's no guarantee that Kate MacKinnon would remain on SNL for 4 or 8 more years. Will Ferrell left SNL in 2002 even though he owned the role of George W. Bush at SNL in the same way MacKinnon owns the role of Hillary Clinton. Ferrell's departure left a gap that was never

A rarely watch SNL when it's live, I'm usually watching it on Sunday afternoon and when a Kyle Mooney digital short shows up I only can stand it for up to 30 seconds before I have to fast forward through it.

Beck Bennett was in everything because he's getting the roles that used to be assigned to Taran Killam but were unsuitable for Bobby Moynihan, Kyle Mooney and Pete Davidson. Also, Bennett is a stronger performer than Mooney and Davidson and he has the important job of playing Vladimir Putin while neither Mooney nor

I laughed out loud several times during the S.3. premiere however not at all during this second episode. It just felt like the characters were going around in a circle this time and, at least for me, all their funny lines just fell flat. I guess I just didn't care whether the rest of the group believed Pat was alive

I zoned out during Cecily Strong's annoying unfunny Uninformed Voter bit on Weekend Update but Kenan Thompson's Big Papi brought me back. Also I do hope SNL refrains from "people sitting in the dark like on The Charlie Rose Show at a table, trying to be funny" sketches in the future.

Any "must see" interviews or moments from any late night TV show are posted online so I don't feel the need to personally watch any of them live or record them. Sorry Colbert.
