Uhhh these are automakers we are talking about. Just look at the cars they build, how often does something not make sense or completely miss the point? Quite often.
No, they just have massive torque and a wheel/tire combo that accounts for a pretty good percentage of the overall weight. They can use the inertia of the tires to change the attitude of the chassis, just like a dirt bike, or off-road racer can to a smaller degree.
I don't think a mid engine truck would tow a trailer very well. No weight over the front axle = death.

I like it, the last WRX was too boy-racer looking. This is more mature and grown up looking. It could still be a little more aggressive, and it needs a hatchback.
Please Please Please make a Crosstrek Turbo with this styling. WRX=too low and no hatchback. Levorg=too big.
