I think it’s more how one can act when one is already this stupidly rich.  He doesn’t have to care as long as the board and his investors don’t MAKE him care.  He’s going to be rich whether people buy his cars or not.  Maybe not as rich as he is today, but rich enough not to give a shit.

Insurance companies know that most people aren’t willing to cross shop, so they will regularly raise rates until consumers finally get squeezed out. While they may lose a customer that way, they have gained more from other companies doing the same thing. Since everyone keeps doing this, the market continues to get

If you’re dumb enough to give Musk your money, I have zero sympathy for you.

Personally, I think he just really enjoyed being treated like climate messiah...

Musk never cared.  He was marketing his product.  Money and power don't change you, they make you more of what you already were.

Jalopnik had more talented writers at the time, and therefore a larger audience.

“So, after I went back to the hospital to get the stitches out of my leg from where I gashed it on the Cybertruck’s door, I stopped to pick up some groceries. Came home to find my tailgate is bent now.

ad agencies tend to be very large, they bill their clients massive amounts, they have gorgeous well located offices ( buildings even!), go to the big ad award shows, and have flotillas of great looking sales teams.   but the ads themselves? they are written by round tables of “creatives”.  some of these are good, some

ROFL! Unless that dog is an actual, documented service animal, she hasn’t a leg to stand on. And her cancer came back because she was away from her fur baby for a minute? Uh no dear, that’s not how that works at all. The sad part is JetBlue will probably give this wingnut some settlement money to go away.

Government subsidies and contracts will keep him afloat, but for how long?

I hate to say it, but $100k is the new $75k. Cars generally have gotten more expensive across the board, especially performance cars. I think a better way to look at Corvette prices is to compare them to their competitors of the time. For example:

Is that A/C compressor accessible with the car on a lift or does the engine have to be pulled? Because GM compressor will inevitably fail 3 months after the vehicle warranty expires.

Density altitude is the term for this. This is the relative altitude after compensating for heat and humidity related air density changes. It has two basic effects:

Robotaxi sounds like more key-jingling in front of investors to distract them from the trash fire the company really is to give the more false hope for a mythical new profit stream that will never pan out.

It’s fighting the “woke” agenda in schools now... Which from what I see having a kid in school apparently means acknowledgement of anything different or uncomfortable based on the things I have to sign off on my kid learning.

This 100000%.

You don’t have to profit, you just need to convince investors you have a plan, and they pile in investments, and you pay yourself a big salary for as many years as you can, then when it all goes poof , you are rich.

Green party, obviously.

Isn’t that a picture of a first-gen CR-X though?
