I am the Silent One

I’ve had my Harley Road King for 8 years now without a tach. Must be magic.

This is what I did. I started off alternating jogging and walking every quarter mile. Then I gradually ramped up to jogging a half mile and walking a quarter mile. The day I was able to do a full mile without stopping was awesome! Such a victory. That was about 2 years ago. I suffered from plantar fasciitis for a

You still don’t get it at all.

Oh, we’re here too. We’re everywhere...

I thought the same thing. What happens if someone crashes because of his actions? Of course we know nothing will come of this. There'll be an investigation, maybe a hand slap, and back to business as usual.

It's funny, the first thing I thought when I clicked on the article was "Man, I hate those wheels." Not a fan of that gold color at all. Only problem is that I don't know what I would change it to.

You’re delusional. Nobody travels to California for beach vacations. Get real. The water in California is COLD!!! Plus, California is stupid expensive and crowded.

If you can’t tell the difference between a Street, VRod, or Street Glide, then perhaps you should get your eyes checked.

A car actually flashed their lights at me yesterday to warn me about a cop up ahead. I didn’t see the cop initially, but just up ahead, he was hidden in an attempt to catch speeders. So I returned the favor to the next set of drivers I saw.

In my case (So. NH), it's December to April. This year I actually bought the Hakkas for my G8. While they've been phenomenal, there just isn't any snow this year.

Hey, glad to hear that you didn’t get banged up too badly. And I’m also glad to read that you’re done with the percs. Those things are the devil.

I hate you. 18 degrees right now, and that’s as warm as it’s going to get all weekend. I can grab my bike keys, sure, but only I need to move it out of the way for the snow blower.

I hear ya. And don't get me wrong, I like the SS on paper - even though I have yet to drive it. They even gave in and offered us a manual after a year. It's a great car for the money. But at that price point, I just need a little more wow factor. And I don't want to be confused with a Malibu.

Fascinating reply, my friend. But no, their decision DOES NOT impact you at all. It doesn’t. The fact is that as a motorcyclist, there is an inherent level of risk in our hobby. Sometimes a helmet can save your life, but sometimes it doesn’t. If you can’t handle that psychological burden, then perhaps it’s you who

Oh, and how does it sound?

How comfortable is this thing? Can you ride a whole day and not feel like death afterward? How are the ergonomics with respect to handlebars and footpegs? As I read more and more about it, it seems like a better version of the V-Rod (more updated, etc).

Ok my bad. Foot controls weren’t as clear in the original pictures. I think the Harley still has the foot pegs a bit more forward than the Ducati, though. Hope I’m not wrong again!

But you *could* do some long distance riding on the Harley. It’s not a bagger, but you could easily add some softbags and take off. The Duc has a more aggressive seating position. The Harley has forward controls while the Duc has mid mounts. It's really hard for me to think of it as a sport cruiser.

They're not in the same class of bikes.

What makes you think that these bikes compete with each other? They're not even remotely close to each other at all.
