That’s a pretty significant leap in logic based on an unsupported assumption. These schools are extremely competitive to get into...those who attend often work hard to get in. They are hardly being “thrown away” (full disclosure - boarding school attendee).
I’d really like to see companies enact parental leave (split between parents as best fit) that is actually required/mandatory. Parental leave is something you can plan for well in advance.
