At the end of the day, humans are tribal creatures and will always gravitate towards others who look like them, hence the majority of users will dictate who gets paid the most on these platforms.  You can’t force people to consume only content that meets your specific diversity parameters. Nor should you.

Yes, because Black people don’t get enough credit in their creative pursuits. If this is the case, then why is the most popular music year after year created by Black artists, going back decades? We don’t appreciate Black voices? Really? Beyonce is worshipped like she is a living goddess. Black Panther and Get Out

I gotta bite this one.

As an autistic person her handling of this incident was disgusting. Disgusting of the fans and disgusting of her.

Okay, so this is a primarily POC campus with an altercation between a Black professor and two Black students. Why is this being presented as another example of racism? Maybe the professor is sick and tired of students showing up tardy for their class. And, maybe the students have done this before.

WTF are you talking about?

“To some, it may come as a shock that Ms. Gray, a professor in GSU’s english department, is actually a Black woman.”

you can’t fire me! i quit!

Thanks for ungreying me moron. On a fundamental level you are expressing bigotry against white people plain and simple.

Yeah, those white bitches are all the same. Do you really not see the hypocrisy of demeaning a large group of people while simultaneously attempting to criticize bigotry?

Can someone explain to me why both Lia Thomas and Iszac Henig should both be allowed to race in the womens competition? Are trans men not men even if they’re not on male hormones?

If it comes down to hormones then surely the debates being had are warranted because of how many years Thomas had more natural testosterone

It can be both, right? Like, free speech means accepting that both we will sometimes be revolted, offended, or enraged, and that our utterances may be similarly regarded by those who disagree?

It is more than right wingers that are concerned about trans women such as Thomas competing against cisgender women. And it hardly advances reasoned discussion on the issue to pretend so. Whether it is pure talent and determination that brought Thomas these wins, or the skeletal-muscular and lung capacity advantages

Sexual dimorphism is a thing; it can’t be wished away, argued away or dismissed just because it is politically inconvenient.

That’s because it’s a man swimming on the women’s team. It’s riduculous to say he’s a woman and belongs on the women’s team. Why does anyone believe this nonsense? Men are men. They can explore their gender expression, but it doesn’t make them women and it’s completely unfair to have a man on the women’ s team.

I think “tolerance” is probably a better fit than “acceptance”.  This law isn’t targeted toward those who are accepting of ethnic hairstyles.

there’s one glaring problem: No one should have to tell their employer in any way that they need an abortion! Citi workers wouldn’t need to inform their direct supervisor what they’re doing, but they would need to submit sick days for approval, pay for the travel and abortion up front, then submit for reimbursement,

It is, and because of that I view this as an extremely good development. If Citibank puts itself into the position of a defendant because of this, it means they will be able to focus their considerable legal resources into nuking the stupid fucking law from orbit.

Yes, and that’s the fascinating thing here that I can’t believe Jez overlooked. It’s one thing for a predatory asshat to file a suit against an individual, it’s a whole other can of worms to take on Citi and their cadre of lawyers. It does suck that you have to give up your right to privacy, but that’s one hell of a
