The Sea Shepherd was protecting the whales and dolphins...

They're managing a racetrack.. I'm sure they know people can crash at any corner at any time and are able to handle the situation. And they don't need every turn staffed, the spectators are at practically every corner... plus they have tons of webcams there.

When I was at Willow Springs they said the only reason to get out of your car is if it's on fire...As difficult as it would be to just drive away, there are people at the track who can handle the situation.
