God, fucking +1 to this

Seriously, some of those games not being 60fps and becoming 60fps, is huge. So huge. Some wonderful games that deserved to be seen as intended will now look great. As a PC gamer I’m stoked, last gen was underpowered and didn’t push the envelope much when it comes to cross platform games and ports. All this power could

Have you played one of these souls games?

I mean... The flip side is that activity cards only allow you to jump to specific points in the game, and not where you left off. Yeah, you can go directly to whichever mission or mode you want, but most people don’t play games by jumping from mission to mission, they play in a linear fashion.

It’d sure be nice if the store showed you what’s on sale rather than having to check the website

I don’t want to shell out 500 bucks to (essentially) play one game, right now, but god damn if Demon’s Souls isn’t an immediate first purchase the second I do buy a PS5.

It looks so fucking sick and it makes me even more excited for future From Software games (I mean, as well as other developers).

let me know when you get to the very next sentence

Bluepoint confirmed a while back that there was no new content.

Git gud is a lie. I’ve beaten every soulsborne FromSoftware and I remain terrible at each and every one of them. I just love the gameplay no matter how many defeats it takes me to progress.

The PS5 can use regular nvme m.2 drives, they just need to be pci-e gen 4 and very fast.

The Series X/S’ biggest problem is also it’s biggest benefit: it’s not meaningfully different from the Xbox One. It’s just faster and prettier. I know that could ostensibly be said about any new console generation, but the change this time around doesn’t seem as immediately impressive. It doesn’t have any killer apps

Just Cause 3 running at a stable 30 fps for the first time ever. (even on the one x the game will dip into the teens when stuff gets hectic.

It’s honestly not so much about Bungie, it’s about the platform holders. And even then, it’s not about their overhead, it’s about their transaction fees. Sony, Valve and MS want to make the 30% cut when you play a game on their platform, and they don’t get that cut if you get access to purchases made elsewhere.

I think the key part of this, which people forget, is that each platform has costs associated with offering the product. They need to be able to make money on the title.

I mean, all of the original trailers were a character walking around on a planet, getting into their ship and flying to a new planet. That’s what I thought the game would be, and is exactly what it is. I’m curious what you think it isn’t and should be.

Good. I now have 20 extra days to play Beyond Light.

The VR Astro game is legitimately amazing.

I’m absolutely sick and tired of politics right now, and Twitch is one of the places I go to escape it all.”

Now playing

Demon’s Souls is a lot more than a remaster, it’s been totally rebuilt and the gameplay systems even seem to respond differently to my eye. That said, still not a huge fan of the price increase even though it was probably inevitable.
