If both of those games manage to make it out next year it’s gonna be NUTS.

No, that’s not how it works. If you already own the game you can just play it on PS5 normally.

God of War and Days Gone are in there, and both are only a couple years old. Seems pretty likely that they’ll be adding to the catalog as time goes on. All things considered it’s a nice perk to have added to your normal PS plus subscription.

If PS5 is your first Playstation console it’s a pretty sweet deal.

Eh, I don’t really agree with much of that. I’m an enthusiast in many ways but I don’t game on PC because I do my work on a mac. I’m excited for PS5 because I want to play stuff like Destiny 2 at 60fps, and Mile Morales looks really incredible for a launch title. Demon’s Souls is also looking really nice. And then of

Obviously, that’s a big deal. I already said the Series S will be perfect for some people (like family buyers, of course) and that’s great. It’s really good that there’s an option like that on the table.

It’s not earth-shaking, but the whole “PS Plus Collection” idea is pretty cool. New to PlayStation? For $60 a year you have access to a bunch of the very best PlayStation titles. I’m sure they’ll be adding more games as time goes on as well, so it’s a pretty neat proposal.

Series S will definitely be a great option for a lot of people but $400 is still a pretty amazing price point considering the hardware you’re getting with a PS5.

It’s not so much that the disc drive costs so much, it’s that Sony is selling the digital edition at a pretty big loss, knowing they’ll make up for it since they’ll make more of a profit from online game sales.

God, that was one hell of a showcase. ONLY disappointment is that we didn’t get anything from Horizon Forbidden West. Seemed like a no-brainer to me to have a nice gameplay demo of that to close the show out.

Makes sense. At any rate, this looks way better than I was expecting, seems like they really upped their game from the first one.

The gameplay itself is mad underrated. It’s a fully-fledged stealth survival game in a way that Part 1 never managed to nail (imo).

It’s almost like there’s this way of doing business where you have to chase higher and higher profits year over year, ad infinitum, and this leads to a worker and consumer experience that gets markedly worse over time once you pass a certain point!

Yeah the enemies don’t look right at all.

Which would be weird considering the original SoT had industry-leading animations. This just looks cheap.

One of my favorite games of all time, yet that trailer left me totally cold. There’s something really sterile and off about the visuals.

Yeah he’s an irredeemable piece of shit. Really stupid move on their part to try to make him some sort of draw for DLC lol

Seems like a smart move on Sony’s part would be to pivot their language so that the digital version of the PS5 is THE PS5, and then the other one would be “PS5 Disc Edition” or something like that but less clunky. Make the cheaper one the focus.

The PS3 was basically one of the cheapest, best blu-ray players you could buy for a little while there, so I would say yes.

It’s less about how much the disc drive costs and more about the increased profits Sony will see from game sales on an all-digital console.
