CDC, etc:

I know right? Instead it’s just a topical burner and kind of boring :(

Sugar is equally not dangerous, if we’re qualifying dangers here. I feel like every public health scold in America needs to be sent to remedial school. Correlation is not causation, longitudinal studies do not provide evidence of causal relationships, etc.

It’s more than a few studies. The nurses’ survey that was used to determine the 1,500mg level is wrong and has been proven wrong. It’s not a question of who knows? We know, and a few embedded interests in public health refuse to act on the information.

The current recommendations for sodium intake are too small by almost half, and anyone who eats as low a sodium diet as recommended dies earlier. The survey that the salt recommendations are based on is fatally flawed, and everyone knows this. Yet the recommendations are the same.
