The numbers don’t bear you out. For the last 80 years, each generation (as a whole) has been more tolerant than the last. Attitudes are more accepting of different races, sexualities, and religions (even lack thereof). Shit, interracial marriage was still controversial when my parents grew up. 

There’s fewer sanctuaries to hide in, which is why the young are less racist than the old. My children will likely attend a plurality if not majority latino school. When I was that age, that same school was probably 70% white.

I’m not sure you can really feed or starve racism in that way. Racists are either A) stupid, B) hateful bigots, C) getting paid back in some way to promote hate, D) all of the above.
