The numbers don’t bear you out. For the last 80 years, each generation (as a whole) has been more tolerant than the last. Attitudes are more accepting of different races, sexualities, and religions (even lack thereof). Shit, interracial marriage was still controversial when my parents grew up.

There’s fewer sanctuaries to hide in, which is why the young are less racist than the old. My children will likely attend a plurality if not majority latino school. When I was that age, that same school was probably 70% white.

I’m not sure you can really feed or starve racism in that way. Racists are either A) stupid, B) hateful bigots, C) getting paid back in some way to promote hate, D) all of the above.

I you haven’t, grab a translated download of “De re Coquinaria” by Apicius. It’s the sole surviving cookbook from the classical Roman Empire. Probably from the 1st century AD. It includes instruction on preserving food of all kinds. One of the more interesting techniques was covering meat in honey to preserve it for a

Where the fuck do you think America came from? Hint: a revolt against a monarch who already had powers limited by parliament.

A lot of foods either don’t really become unsafe if stored properly (dry goods) or you know when it’s bad by the fuzziness, odor, or other grossness.

For the most part, breaking feudalism required an absolute monarch in charge of a top-down bureaucratic state which (after taking the armies away from the dukes and counts) eventually gave rise to parliamentary systems and shared power. Eventually the monarch himself was reduced to rich figurehead like the lesser

It wasn’t a republic. It’s still a feudal monarchy. They just switched from inherited titles to elective monarchy. Less France, more Holy Roman Empire, or even the Byzantine Empire (which was less feudal and more bureaucratic, but in theory any Orthodox Christian Roman could be crowned emperor).

Bobson Dugnutt clearly played in the 20's.

Life expectancy at *birth* is 76 years.

Totally. The new system of anointing kings is basically Rome. Which means it will only work when the king is childless. Marcus Aurelius, that paragon of wisdom, clearly demonstrated this by naming his shitshow of a son caesar despite Marc being the 5th example in a row of a better way.

Eexcept Alexander never ran out of land to conquer. His army told him “no more” as they’d been away from home for 10 years by the time they reached India. He died on an extended vacation between campaigns, basically.

Grey Worm was the head of the most competent army in Westeros, and still one of the largest. Professional soldiers and hordes vastly out classed peasant armies in real life. If Grey Worm wanted to get revenge by pillaging Westeros, he could and no one else could stop him.

His power base was the consensus between the various lords who picked him. Consensus kings can be powerful by that fact alone. It’s what helped rule Rome during its peaceful years. So long as he doesn’t piss anyone off too much, the situation seems perfectly stable until the current generation starts dying off. Which,

Well, technically, it’s a pledge to sire no children.

That whole scene I kept thinking "OMG, they're creating a Roman emperor. This is going to end horribly in 3 generations tops, but more likely in about a decade".

The last place I’d do focus testing is a fan forum. In fact, the last place I’d ask any question is a fan forum.

No only is that photo “better lit” but it’s a camera-mounted flash, which are universally unflattering and why many high-end cameras don’t even have them built in.

Edgelords are people who are edgy for its own sake. They think their nihlism and lack of manners make them superior to people who are...well...more civilized. Think 4chan and all the people that thinks telling racist jokes in 2019 is shocking.

Fuck all that dusty great recession exuses. The problem isn’t some past event we can shrug our shoulders and wait to live out. It’s happening now and is getting worse: 5 day a week daycare for toddlers in my area is about $15,000 per child per year. I have two in that range, so that’s $30,000.
