I'm guessing you don't have to travel with kids.

OK, sure. But let’s talk about scale and how openly it’s done. (And football and hockey should ban it, too. If you can’t quit, use snus during the game, no one will know.) I’m not generally a “think about the children!” type of person, but in this case, I think that if the game is being televised, in game use should…
I’m not sure about the state/city laws, but baseball should have made this against the rules years ago. Can you imagine any other sport allowing it? Do a 5 year phase in of increasing fines for in game use. It’s bad for the sport’s reputation
This is a bad take and Skiwi’s comment explains why. Don't be an enemy of progress.
Right. Because it's totally appropriate that people should have to move to another continent to get paid for their work.
They are not making money. Revenue is different from earnings, and they have significant costs. Not just advertising but they have to pay out revenue shares and affiliate deals and etc etc etc. They will be profitable at some point if they don't get put out of business.
You're confusing the entry amounts with how much they're making. Their take is around 10 percent. And they are still losing significant amounts of money, which would be fine for a company at their stage, if they weren't also under siege.
I go to Ireland twice a year or so— my wife is from Ireland — and Guinness is a real Irish beer. There isn't much of a craft beer scene when compared to the US, but it's growing. But still Guinness, Beamish, or Murphy's are what you'll generally find, along with Bud and Heineken, of course
The Clash are awesome, bit as far as festival lineups go, 1982 kicks 1983s ass. Gang of Four? The Ramones? The Talking Heads! I'd never heard if this festival. Somebody needs to get Woz back in the festival game.
this is a cooking column — to learn how to make food that tastes good. Cooking without any fat results in lousy tasting food.
a few red pepper flakes if you want, too. Roasted broccoli or cauliflower is the best. I don't really cook it any other way anymore.
Do you want to explain how a vehicle like this could have helped in a Sandy Hook-type situation?
The language I use for a federal FOIA:
Also, make sure to say you in your request that you won't pay more than $x for the documents (I think I say $50 iirc), so the agency can't produce them and charge you several thousand dollars.
Make a public records request. You don't need to be a journalist.
I'm of two minds on this one. I'm a reporter who sometimes makes public records requests, and - completely out of self interest - I don't want government agencies blowing up my stories like this. On the other hand, these are public records. The reason they are being released is that everybody has a right to read them.…
It's gross for him to use MLK for this.
So ... Has anybody looked into the dealings of the other foundation, All Day Inc?
"most of the adult world" ... Give me a break. Most of the adult world lets people enjoy sports however they want. It's only a tiny portion that feels like they should tell others that they are doing it wrong.
hi, I have all sorts of rules that sports fans need to follow in order to REALLY be a sports fan.
